Joel is here! He arrived on Monday, September 8 at 8:02am and weighed 8lbs. even and was 20 inches long. This baby boy is so sweet and cuddly and only cries when he needs something and is already such a happy baby. Sophie loves her little brother and I love seeing the love between them already! We have loved having daddy home and are sad he has to go back to work tomorrow. Time for momma to know what it's like to take care of 2 kids on her own! We have also been super blessed by so many visitors and friends from church who have brought us meals! Here are some fun pics from Joel's first week of life!

We meet him tomorrow!
I have some time tonight and wanted to post some cute pics from this week and today prepping for meeting our little man tomorrow! Sophie is now with Nana and Papa and already having a blast :-) Daddy and I went to Opa! for dinner and plan on going to bed early tonight (or trying to) before getting up at 4:30am tomorrow! Here we go!
Having fun at the park after our last appt. before we meet Joel. We met Dr. Tiglao today (Dr. Conwell was sick and hopefully better by tomorrow!) and he was great! Very reassuring :-)
At Mimi's today. Our last meal together as a family of 3!
On Friday, we went to see "Wicked" with Bob and Alda at the CPA. Sophie and TJ had their first sleepover. Baby's last hurrah inside :-)
Last pic of baby super comfortable curled up on the right side.
Sophie reading to her Minnie and Joel's Mickey. So cute!
Minnie and Mickey heading to Nana and Papa's in Joel's seat :-)
She is ready! Saying "Sleepover!"
Mommy and Nana took Sophie to Starbucks for a cake pop before saying goodbye until tomorrow when she gets to meet baby brother!

38 weeks and quite possibly the last entry until Joel is here!
I can not believe we will meet our sweet baby in 1 week! We are all so ready and excited for his arrival. :-) Tonight, Sophie looked me up and down and asked, "How is Baby Joel going to come out?" I guess I should have known that question would be asked. We told her
with the Drs. help and she accepted that answer :-) Daddy and Sophie also made a paper countdown chain because she has been asking how much longer a lot. It's very sweet and we count each morning!

I just had to include this story so I didn't forget! This is Sophie on the way to church this week. She kissed her Bible and said "I love Jesus!" It was the sweetest thing I think I have ever heard!
Auntie Christi married Uncle Brandon on Saturday, August 30. We were unable to travel down to SD because of how close we are to our due date but this is a gorgeous picture from the wedding.
Me at 38 weeks! Ready to meet you! It's been a pretty hot summer and you are kicking up a storm in there. It is hard to sleep but I know it will all be worth it once you are here!
"Your baby has really plumped up. He weighs about 6.8 pounds and he is over 19 1/2 inches long (about the size of a leek). He has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time! His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb." -Baby Center
Nana and Mommy at Outback the night before they left for Tahoe. We won't see them again until the day before you arrive! We can't wait to take you to Tahoe next year for your first bday!
Sophie has been coloring you pictures almost daily and wanting to put them on your wall. So cute!
More pictures drawn by Sophie and our pile to take to the hospital and to Nana's house for Sophie :-)
Baby brother back rest!
Sophie is saying, "Baby Joel!" here and looking so grown up in Mommy's glasses!
We can't wait to post pictures once Joel arrives! Thank you Jesus for this miracle and his sweet sister.
