37 weeks!

We will meet Joel 2 weeks from today!!!  We can not wait and are feeling ready and excited :-)

This week Daddy and I went on a couple of our last dates before baby boy arrives!  We went to the SJ Giants game (VIP style) on Wednesday, August 20 and the Rascal Flatts concert on Saturday, August 23rd!

I hadn't seen Jenny since Sophie was a newborn and I got to see her on Thursday, August 21st!  She is one of the reasons Daddy and I met at APU!  Thanks "Potts".  We love you!

Uncle Dookie came to visit and it will be the last time we see him before he comes to meet Joel!  He was on his way to LA to finish up his teaching credential/student teadching.

37 weeks!!!

"Your due date is very close now, but doctors don't consider your baby "full term" until 39 weeks. Spending the next two weeks in the womb allows your baby's brain and lungs to fully mature. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.
Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (about the size of a bunch of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz." -Baby Center

We got to see him today!

We got to see Joel today and everything was looking great :-)  I can't wait to see that sweet face in person!  They think he is close to 6.5 lbs already.  So thankful for this child.

36 weeks on 8/18!

We get to see our precious baby boy tomorrow at our ultrasound!  We haven't seen him since week 16 when we found out what HE was!  A lot has happened since then!  I'm feeling pretty good just uncomfortable and ready to meet him!  We went and got the rest of our items on the registry and organized the rest of his room and clothes.  We also put his car seat in the car so we know we are getting close!  Unless he decides to come early, we will meet him in 19 days!!!  I can't believe it!

Lopsided tummy-Joel likes it on the right side :-)

Daddy organizing ALL of your clothes!  A lot have been given to you by Auntie Lindy but also a lot were given to you at the 2 showers we had.  I think you have more than Sophie did at this point :-)  Didn't see that one coming. ;-)

Getting bigger and still hanging out on the right side :-)

36 weeks!
"Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long (about the size of a head of romaine lettuce). She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.
At the end of this week, your baby will be considered "early term." (Full-term is 39 to 40 weeks. Babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term, 41 weeks is late term, and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely your baby is already head-down. " -Baby Center

35 Weeks and Baby Shower!

My mom through a shower to celebrate Baby Joel on Sunday, August 10.  Lindy and Becky surprised me and even helped with games and gave a beautiful message and prayer for us.  Tom, Ginny, Pam, Tom and Aunt Jo even drove up from SD to be here.  Here are some pics from the fun celebration!

34 weeks!

We have made it to 34 weeks!  We can't wait to meet you Joel!

"Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (about the size of a cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. " -Baby Center

33 weeks on 7.28.14

We had Glenn and John in town this week for John's "Liberace" performance!  Cindy and Lini were also home from Santa Barbara!  It was a fun weekend full of fun memories.

33 weeks!

"This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark (about the size of a pineapple). He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening." -Baby Center
