20 weeks!

20 weeks!  Half way there! This weekend, we moved Sophie into her "Big Girl" room (formerly known as our playroom/den/guest room and Baby Joel has his own room.  There is still some crib building and organizing to be done but it is so fun to see the progress!

"Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — about the size of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)"-Baby Center

Taking care of baby!  Big sister in training!

Wanting daddy to hold baby.  LOVE THEM!

I am also feeling Joel ALL of the time.  He sure is a strong little one!  Praise Jesus for this miracle!

19 weeks and Easter! Week of April 20

First pic is our family of 4 at church on Easter!~

Second pic is of me going through Sophie's old clothes and picking out the gender neutral ones and also washing all of the wonderful clothes The Morris Family blessed us with!~

Third pic is of Sophie wanting to learn how to diaper her baby.  She is becoming more and more excited to be a big sister and already tells me she wants to help me with Baby Joel :-)

18 weeks! 4-13-13

"Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long, and he weighs almost 7 ounces (about the size of a bell pepper). He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. -Baby Center

Telling The Giamanco's

Before we dropped Jon off in San Diego for his Mexico missions trip with SFC, we went to dinner with the G's and shared the news that we were having a boy!

It's a BOY!!!

We are SO excited to be having a BOY!  We have decided to name him Joel Andrew Giamanco.  This was our name of choice with Sophie but didn't use it for obvious reasons :-)  Joel means YAHWEH is Lord.  Andrew is a family name on Mommy's side and means man/warrior.  Initals are J.A.G. :-)  Very manly!  HIS heart rate was 146 and music to our ears.  His little feet were crossed and he was moving a lot!  Here are some pics from our awesome ultrasound!  PRAISE GOD for our SON!
